Lee Henley

Co-Executive Director of SAMS

Lee is a husband, father, and proud grandfather to two mokopuna. Originally from England, he has made Te Whanganui-a-Tara his lifelong home.

Lee is a registered social worker and has held various leadership roles across health and social service sectors. He is continuing his education at Massey University undertaking a PhD exploring the barriers for allied health professionals to have conversations with older adults regarding alcohol use. He is currently the Treasurer of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association.

Lee has navigated the challenges of significant hearing loss, which he experienced due to a childhood accident. When not working Lee likes heading out and riding his motorbike or Vespa.
