Do you have a disabled child? Are you a good listener? Do you want to help parents new to the world of disability?

When parents or caregivers first learn that their child has a disability or health impairment, it can feel like the world has turned upside down. It’s not an easy journey, but being able to talk to someone who has been there, and has walked a few miles further down the road can be a huge help.

At Parent to Parent we have an incredible team of volunteer parents and caregivers who provide this support to families and whānau across New Zealand. If you would like to join the team, we would love to see you at our next Support Parent training. Learn about active listening, interpersonal communication and how best to assist parents or caregivers new to the world of disability.

At the end of the training you can decide the level of support you are able to offer. Register today to reserve your spot!
