Carer e-Leadership Network

The Carer e-Leadership Network is a way for carers to influence the development of resources for carers and provide guidance to Care Matters. It will involve contributing to six monthly emails where key issues are discussed, in a web-based group, and carers can provide input for new resources.

Purpose

Care Matters is committed to ensuring carers:

  • Have access to accurate and current information on a wide range of topics.

  • Contribute to the development of approaches and supports that best meet their needs.

  • Are equipped with skills to make the best use of existing and emerging opportunities.

  • Can provide the Government with advice.

To become a member of the Carer e-Leadership Network you will need to:

  • Be a carer of a person receiving DSS – Ministry of Health disability funding of some type.

  • Have routine access to email.

  • Be willing to be a key local contact in building stronger national networks.

  • Be committed to the constructive sharing of ideas with a diverse network of carers in New Zealand.
